Kris Alingod - AHN News Writer Chicago, IL (AHN) - Rev. Jesse Jackson is in a Chicago hospital to determine the cause of some stomach pains, according to CNN. The civil rights leader checked into the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago on Wednesday. He had been in Georgia campaigning for Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL). Jackson told the Chicago Tribune on Thursday the pains were "subsiding." Controversy erupted last month after Jackson made disparaging remarks about Obama during an interview with Fox News. Jackson was speaking to a fellow guest about the freshman senator's call for more dialogue about personal issues such as faith and thought his comments were off the record. Fox aired the remarks on "The O'Reilly Factor." "Barack, he's talking down to black people. I want to cut his n**s off," Jackson had said, earning the ire of pundits as well as his own son, who serves as co-chair of the Obama campaign.
