London, England (CNS) - Rock 'n' roll memorabilia brings in big bucks, and Thursday's auction by Fame Bureau has items up for sale from some of the biggest musicians of all time including Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
Auctioneers are predicting the bidding could bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars and Celebrity News Service isn't surprised. Imagine owning the guitar that Hendrix set fire to during a concert at London's Astoria in 1967. Or how about the managerial contract between Brian Epstein and four young musicians named Paul, John, Ringo and George, otherwise known as The Beatles.
The Fame Bureau is reporting that Hendrix's scorched guitar, which was found in the garage of Hendrix's former press manager, could sell for as much as $900,000. And the contract for The Beatles, which set the stage for the beginning of Beatlemania, could bring in $450,000.
For all the Elvis fan's out there, the auction house will also be selling a set of the King's fingerprints and his application to the State of California for a concealed gun permit.
While they may not seem like a big deal, in the world of rock memorabilia the application is expected to bring in between $90,000 and $135,000. Now that's rock 'n' roll.
