September 5, 2008 5:40 a.m. EST Joanna Mazewski - Celebrity News Service Editor Hollywood, FL (CNS) - Let's just put it this way, with the crowd on their feet the moment the redheaded firecracker stepped on stage to her last punchline of the night, leaving the audience of 5,000 desperately screaming for an encore, one thing is for certain: in this town, Kathy Griffin is on the A list. Life is good for the Emmy-award winning Griffin, whose show, Bravo's "My Life on the D-List," just wrapped its fourth season, her stand-up tour is selling out across the country and despite being blacklisted by most of Hollywood for her acid tongue, the quick-witted comedian is also scheduled to present at this year's prime-time Emmy awards show with Don Rickles. But at her only South Florida appearance at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., on Thursday, the night belonged to her as she kept the audience in roaring laughter from start to finish. Griffin spared no one in her pop-culture laden routine as she took jabs at everyone from Paula to Oprah to a dead-on Nancy Grace impression. The comedian also wasted no time throwing her perfectly executed comedic punches at the current turn of events in this year's Presidential race, mocking the Palin family and comparing them to the ubiquitous Spears and Lohans of Hollywood. What makes Griffin shine is that throughout her act she is fresh, on target and always ready to deliver, giving the audience the impression that she exclusively shares her backstage stories and secrets for the first time, despite repeating them night after night. Despite her unapologetic attacks on Hollywood's elite, in person Griffin is warm and kind and incredibly down-to-earth. Celebrity News Service caught up with Griffin herself after the show. With her stand-up taking her across the country, she tells us that she loves touring and visiting the South Florida area. Dressed head-to-toe in white in an ensemble that makes her look like the Irish Elvis Presley, Griffin assured us that she'll come back next year and that we should come see her show again. And just like her legions of followers, trust us, we'll be there.
