Montreal, Quebec (AHN) - Police and secret service operatives arrested four people in Montreal including an Israeli for hacking into the system of a Calgary-based company and stealing from it nearly $2 million through debit cards.
After seven months of investigation, operatives from the Montreal Police Service, Vancouver Police Department, Calgary Police Commercial Crime Unit and the United States Secret Service arrested 29-year old Israeli, Ehud Tenenbaum, dubbed as the "The Analyzer".
He faces six counts of fraudulent use of credit card data and fraud and was notorious for hacking into the Pentagon several years ago.
Also arrested were Priscilla Mastrangelo, 30, Jean Francois Ralph, 28, and Sypros Xenoulis, 33.
Police said the suspects falsely inflated the value of pre-paid debit cards by hacking into the computer system of an unnamed Calgary business, deposited money onto debit cards, and withdrew cash in ATM's in Canada and other countries.
