September 6, 2008 6:48 p.m. EST Matt Aug - AHN Sports Editor Flushing Meadows, NY (AHN) - Perhaps the much-aniticipated Rafael Nadal-Roger Federer won't being taking place after all. Not only was play called at the U.S. Open due to heavy rains, but Nadal is also down two sets to Andy Murray in his semifinal match. Play will resume Sunday with Nadal up 3-2 in the third set, while Federer did his part to secure a finals rematch earlier in the day by defeating Novak Djokovic before the weather turned. The women's final between Serena Williams and Jelena Jankovic has also been moved to Sunday night.
