Windsor Genova - AHN News Writer Islamabad, Pakistan (AHN) - Pakistan declared Wednesday that its Army will defend the country's sovereignty, a warning to the U.S. not to conduct military activities inside Pakistani territory. There is no agreement allowing U.S.-led Coalition forces in Afghanistan to conduct operations on Pakistan, Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani said. Kayani issued the statement in response to recent incidents of U.S. forces in Afghanistan pursuing Taliban militants across the border with Pakistan and missile attacks by U.S. drones on Pakistani villages suspected of hiding Taliban leaders allegedly resulting in civilian deaths. An unnamed senior U.S. official admitted to CNN that U.S. helicopters dropped troops into the village of Angoor Adda in South Waziristan last week to engage with militants but civilians were killed.
