Coleman, Franken Deadlocked In Latest Poll

St. Paul, MN (AHN) - Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) and Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) candidate Al Franken are statistically even in the latest statewide poll by SurveyUSA.

Coleman is only one point ahead of Franken, 41-40 percent, with 14 percent of voters supporting Independence Party candidate Dean Barkley and 5 percent still undecided.
The Republican senator holds the suppoprt of men, 43-38 percent, voters between 35-49 years old, 45-36 percent, and religious voters, 48-3 percent.
But Franken has the edge among women, 42-38 percent, young voters, 48-33 percent, and non-religious voters, 60-27 percent.
The poll was conducted from Sept. 10-11 among 734 adults in Minnesota. The margin of error is 3.7 percent.
