Trenton, NJ (CNS) - The New Jersey Hall of Fame has announced a list of 30 potential Hall of Fame inductees and the list includes rocker Jon Bon Jovi and Hollywood actor and legend Jack Nicholson. The list also includes basketball star Shaquille O'Neal and comedian Jerry Lewis.

Out of the list, only 10 celebrities will be chosen. Five of the winners will be chosen in a statewide online vote, with the polls closing on November 30. The other 5 nominees will be picked by the academy.

Nominees are chosen from several fields including arts, entertainment, sports, history and enterprise. The nominees are also required to have lived in New Jersey for a minimum of five years in order to be eligible.

Bart Oates, the chairman of the hall's board of commissioners announced the nominees on Tuesday, saying, "As with our first class of nominees presented in 2007, this assemblage of New Jersey Hall of Fame nominees is indeed impressive."

Last year, Meryl Streep, Bruce Springsteen and Frank Sinatra were inducted as part of the first class of the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
