New York, NY (AHN) - Allan Houston, one of the most talented and classiest guards to ever play in the NBA, will lace up his sneakers again for another attempt to make the New York Knicks.
Houston, who made an aborted effort last fall to rejoin the team he most recently played for, said he is healthy and not distracted as he was last year in waiting for his daughter to give birth.
Houston has not played in three seasons after undergoing micro fracture knee surgery.
If the team is looking for scoring, however, the 37-year-old could fit the bill as long as the Knicks buy out Stephon Marbury's contract and Houston can outplay Patrick Ewing Jr. in camp.
Houston averaged over 20 points per game in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons, though just 11.9 in just 20 games in 2004-05.
