Britney Spears Confirmed To Guest On "The X Factor"

London, England (CNS) - Comeback pop star Britney Spears is confirmed to appear on the U.K. talent show "The X Factor" as a guest. Judge Simon Cowell is "thrilled" to have her on the show.

A spokesperson for ITV network says, "She will be appearing on the show as a special guest, but we're not confirming the date yet."

The 26-year-old star is set to release her new album, Circus, in December, with her first single "Womanizer" releasing Friday.

Meanwhile, Cowell says he doesn't care if Spears does something crazy before her appearance on the show as that makes her more interesting.

He says, "We're absolutely thrilled to have her. I've always said this about Britney, that she's a hugely talented person. Everyone wants to work with her because she's a star. She's the number one booking in the world at the moment for a show."

"The fact that she goes a bit crazy occasionally makes her more interesting. And, if she wants to shave her head before she comes on the show, she's welcome to. I don't care."
