September 30, 2008 12:00 p.m. EST AHN Staff Washington, D.C. (AHN) - Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) will be speaking at his eldest son's deployment to Iraq as a member of the Delaware National Guard on Friday, according to MSNBC. Biden, who has no campaign events until his debate with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Thursday, will speak at a deployment ceremony for the 261st Signal Brigade, which his son Beau is a part of, as part of his position as the longest-serving Delaware senator. "I have to admit to you, I wish he wasn't going," Biden told ET last week. "It does make it more personal... when you've been out there in... these different places and you see these guys knowing your son's going to be in that situation." Beau Biden, who gave a touching introduction to his father in last month's Democratic National Convention, is Delaware's attorney general. His deployment comes nearly three weeks after Palin's eldest son, 19-year old Track, was deployed to Iraq.
