Collins Remains Top QB In Tennessee, Despite Young's Return

Nashville, TN (AHN) - Given veteran quarterback Kerry Collins' success with the 4-0 Tennessee Titans, the team will not start Vince Young Sunday, despite his return to health.

While see limited action in drills, Young was on the field for the first time this week after spraining his knee on September 7.

Since then, he's had a few personal issues - including a possible suicide scare, though Young blames the situation on his overly-concerned mother.

Despite that explanation, the quarterback has gained a great deal of support from teammates and friends, who were concerned that his mental game may have fallen apart in a funk of depression.

Young was the No. 3 overall draft pick in 2006, and has led the Titans since.

Coach Jeff Fisher, however, is going to stay with Collins as long as he keeps winning.

This is the first time the franchise has ever started a season 4-0.

Young, in his third season, will remain involved as a positive force on the offense, monitoring the play-calling and listening in on all the discussions.
