October 2, 2008 12:57 p.m. EST Shannon Moore - Celebrity News Service Hollywood, CA (CNS) - David Aruchuleta, the winner of the 2008 "American Idol" season, will make his Hollywood acting debut. The young crooner will be appearing on the Nickelodeon show "iCarly." The series is about a high school student, played by Miranda Cosgrove, who has her own web show. According to People magazine, the singer will appear on the episode titled, "iRocked the Vote." He will play a contestant on a television talent show called "America Sings" on the series. Archuleta's character will get a ton of votes after an "iCarly" webcast endorses the singer. Filming will begin on Thursday and the episode is scheduled to be aired next spring. Archuleta just released his first single titled "Crush" in August. His self-titled debut album will be released next month.
