AHN Staff Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - A suicide bomber blew himself up near a mosque while another rammed a car bomb into a military armored vehicle in Baghdad Thursday killing 20 people and wounding 30 others. The attacks came during the Eid al-Fitr festival, when Muslims celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Security officials said the first bomb exploded at a checkpoint outside the al-Rasool mosque in the southern Shia neighborhood of Jadida. Twelve worshipers coming out after praying died and 30 were injured. In the car bomb attack at a checkpoint in the southern district of Zafaraniya, eight died, including three soldiers, while 10 people were injured.
