October 6, 2008 6:16 p.m. EST Matthew Harvey - AHN Sports Reporter London, England (AHN) - Despite having the worst start in almost a century, Tottenham Hotspur coach Juande Ramos will not be caving in to pressure and has no plans of quitting. The Hotspurs have not opened this badly since 1912. Ramos is receiving many votes of no confidence from fans, but for now, management is remaining loyal to him. "Any decision on my future is not up to me but I am determined to put it right. It is my job, my work," Ramos told reporters. "The main problem for us is scoring goals. You have to score to win games and we are finding that difficult." Tottenham Hotspur is currently 11-13-14, sitting in 11th place in the Primer League. It's been almost a month since the Spurs have been able to score a goal. Part of the problem is a striker shortage on the Spurs; they only have two for the position, and their star striker, Roman Pavlyuchenko, has an injured ankle. Ramos has spent over $220 million, crafting the team he has right now. So far, the results have not been impressive. The coach has three years remaining on his $10 million-a-year contract, which may factor in his decision to stick around.
