The ranking came out in the 2009 edition of "Best 296 Business Schools," a of the Princeton Review.
"We select schools for this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and offerings, institutional data we collect from the schools, and the candid opinions of students attending them who rate and report on their campus experiences at the schools," Robert Franek, vice president of publishing for Princeton Review, said in a statement. "We are pleased to recommend Western Carolina University to readers of our book and users of our Web site as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA."
The school ranked fourth best for offering opportunities to women.
Survey respondents said they especially liked the small size of classes offered by the College of Business.
Ronald A. Johnson, dean of the College of Business said, "Inclusion in this list is the latest indicator of the quality of our academic programs in business, and it speaks highly of the efforts of our faculty who are striving to produce graduates who are 'business ready.'"
