October 9, 2008 4:12 p.m. EST Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Cheryl Burke, the two-time professional dancing champion from ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," has taken to her blog to defend her weight gain and her curves. When bloggers called Burke out on her recent weight gain, she responded by saying she wants people to realize you don't have to be anorexic to be beautiful. Burke, 24, who embraces her curves, says she is secure with her looks but it did take her many years to feel satisfied with her curvy figure. Celebrity News Service polled fans of the dancing reality show to see what they thought about Cheryl and the bloggers comments, and all were supportive of Cheryl and shocked with the "ignorant" comments made about the dancing champs weight. "If Cheryl is 'fat' what hope is there for the rest of us," one fan said, adding that they thought Cheryl looked great just how she is. "Cheryl is beautiful and has a great athletic body. She is a positive image for all girls and women to look up to," another fan of "Dancing with the Stars" said. Cheryl, who sports an athletic body, was praised by everyone polled for being a real person. "Cheryl Burke is awesome! I am so sick of the size 0 celebs," a fan added.
