October 10, 2008 9:48 p.m. EST Matt Aug - AHN Sports Editor Manhattan, NY (AHN) - Nikolai Zherdev scored midway through the third period, lifting the New York Rangers to a 4-2 lead over the Chicago Blackhawks Friday night. Duncan Keith scoerd two minutes earlier to get the Blackhawks within a goal. Aaron Voros and Brandon Dubinsky scored in the second period, giving the Rangers to a 3-1 lead in the second period. Dubinsky had a goal and two assists for the victors. The teams traded goals in the opening period, with Wade Redden scoring 6:47 in for the Rangers. Patrick Kane answered for the Blackhawks with just under three minutes remaining in the period. Henrik Lundqvist was stellar between the pipes for the Rangers, collecting 30 saves.
