Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Crispin Glover has joined the cast of Tim Burton's adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland." He will be playing the Knave of Hearts in the upcoming Disney 3-D flick.

Glover, 44, joins Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, and Johnny Depp in the retelling of the Lewis Carroll children's story. Burton will be using a combination of live action and performance-capture technology in the film.

Depp, who is no stranger to Burton's film, will be playing the Mad Hatter. Hathaway will be the White Queen, while Bonham Carter will play the Red Queen.

HBO's "In Treatment" actress Wasikowska plays the title character.

Glover is most probably known as Michael J. Fox's screen father, George McFly, in the 1985 sci-fi film "Back to the Future" and as the antagonist in the 2000 action/comedy "Charlie's Angels."
