AHN Staff Little Rock, AR (AHN) - Federal agents and Tennessee police have arrested two neo-Nazis for plotting to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) and 88 other unidentified African-Americans in different states. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) identified the suspects as Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tennessee, and Paul Schlesselman 18, of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, according to court documents unsealed Monday at the U.S. District Court in Jackson. The two were caught Wednesday in Crockett County in possession of a rifle, shotgun and three pistols. Cowart and Schlesselman were preparing to rob a gun shop when they were arrested. They admitted planning to get more weapons they will use to attack a predominantly black high school in Tennessee to kick off their state-to-state killing spree, Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of ATF's Nashville field office, was quoted as saying by Arkansasonline.com. The two planned to kill 88 people and behead 14 of them with Obama as their final target. Eighty-eight and 14 are symbolic numbers to the white supremacist community in the U.S. Cowart and Schlesselman are detained without bail.
