AHN Staff Covington, KY (AHN) - A Baptist minister was killed and a deacon wounded on Saturday morning when a gunman shot them at a fellow minister's funeral in Covington, Kentucky. Reverend Donald Fairbanks Sr., 62, pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio for two decades, was pronounced dead on arrival at the St. Elizabeth North Medical Center. Deacon Dowell Cobb, on the other hand, was reported to be in stable condition at the University Hospital. The two religious men were attending the memorial of a Cincinnati church minister, who was also killed in a Kentucky shooting, when suspect Frederick Davis gun fired at them. Police were patrolling the area and quickly apprehended the suspect. Davis, 40 and a native Covington, was charged with murder and assault and is due for arraignment in a court in Kenton County, Kentucky.
