Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Hugh Hefner's former number one girlfriend Holly Madison, 28, has gotten "too old" for the 82-year-old Playboy tycoon.

In her first interview since the split, Madison opens up about her break up with Hefner, whom she shared with his two other girlfriends, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.

She told Extra, "I want to be with somebody I can have more of a future with eventually. Hef and I can't get married and have kids... so it was fun while it lasted but it wasn't right for my old age."

"I got too old for Hef."

She also revealed that she was unhappy for a long time before the split saying, "The signs were there. I was depressed for awhile."

Madison, who is now dating magician Criss Angel, said she's still "best friends" with the mogul, who has replaced her with 19-year-old twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon.

She has one message for Hefner, though.

"It might be refreshing to date someone who is not high maintenance. Sorry, Hef, you know you're high maintenance. I love you but you know you're high maintenance."

Like Madison, Wilkinson also ended her romance with Hefner and moved out of the Playboy mansion.
