Bus Stop, Market Blasts Kill 16, Wound 43 In Iraq

Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) - Bombs exploded at a bus station and a market in Baghdad on Tuesday killing at least 15 people and injuring 29 others. Bomb attacks also hit the northern city of Mosul.

A car bomb exploded at the bus station in the eastern neighborhood of Mashtal killing 11 people and wounding two 21. The fatalities include two women.

A roadside bomb detonated near a marketplace in the Qahira district killing four people and injuring eight others.

Another roadside bomb exploded as a convoy of a Shiite government official was passing in central Baghdad. Ahmed Shiyaa al-Barak, head of a government real estate commission, was not harmed in the attack that killed one person and injured five bodyguards and four bystanders.

In Mosul, a suicide bomber crashed his bomb-laden car into a passing police patrol injuring four police officers. A roadside bomb detonated and hit an army patrol injuring one officer.
