Anaheim, CA (AHN) - A 68-year-old woman died after she was struck by a Metrolink train in Anaheim, California on Wednesday morning.

Orange County police identified the victim as Ruth Lopez. She was struck by a northbound train at La Palma Avenue around 8:45 a.m. in what appeared as a suicide.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez told the OCRegister.com that the victim laid down on the tracks as the train was approaching. Metrolink train No. 685, which was en route from Laguna Niguel to Union Station in Los Angeles ran over the woman.
