New York, NY (CNS) -- Joe Scarborough, the host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe", gave viewers a little extra jolt this morning when he accidentally dropped the F-bomb during the 8am hour of his show. The former Congressman and TV personality apologized for the gaffe, but wasn't entirely aware that he said it until the other talk show hosts advised him of the F-word faux pas.

"These are good, decent, steady men, that don't go around flipping people off, or screaming f--- you at the top of their lungs," Scarborough said. He apologized immediately after realizing his mistake, while the other guests on the show laughed.

"Did I say the word?" he asked. "Great apologies if I said the word and not the letter," he added. "My wife is going to kill me."

Later in the show, Scarborough revealed he received an e-mail from his wife, asking "How big's the fine?" Let's hope the FCC and Scarborough's wife go easy on him.
