Washington, D.C. (AHN) - President-elect Barack Obama granted his first election interviews this week since his historic win.

The president-elect spoke with Ebony magazine editorial director Bryan Monroe on Thursday, saying, "I'm very humbled by the fact that I stand on the shoulders of all the people who made these incredible contributions to lift this country up." The interview will be the centerpiece of the magazine's January 2009 commemorative issue, which goes on sale on Dec. 9.

Obama will also sit down with wife Michelle on Friday to speak to "60 Minutes" correspondent Steve Kroft, CBS has announced. The interview, which will be held in Chicago, is scheduled to be broadcast on Sunday at 7:00 pm ET.

"60 Minutes" also did the first joint interview with the Democratic ticket in August.
