Linda Young - AHN Editor Vancouver, British Columbia (AHN) - A plane crash off Canada's west coast left seven people dead and one survivor. A 35-year-old injured survivor walked 1.8 miles from the plane's wreckage to the shore of the island where the plane crashed, where he found a Coast Guard vessel and crew that helped him and mounted a search for the plane. Royal Canadian Mounted Police say the injured man was hospitalized in stable condition with burns and other significant injuries. Pacific Coastal Airlines owned the missing Grumman Goose amphibious passenger aircraft, which was found Sunday afternoon on Thormanby Island, according to reports. The plane was reportedly carrying hydroelectric workers to a project in a remote area of the British Columbia coast.
