Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service Reporter Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Season seven "American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta appeared on "The Bonnie Hunt Show" Tuesday. The audience went crazy when the young singer came out on stage, screaming as if they had just spotted The Beatles. Celebrity News Service enjoyed Archuleta's chat with Hunt, especially the fact that Hunt immediately took a "motherly" role concerning the young musician. While discussing his sudden fame, amidst more screams from the audience, Hunt told Archuleta not to worry about negative press. "You can let it go to your head when it's good, and you can't let it go to your heart when it's bad," was her advice. Archuleta, who usually gets tongue-tied quickly during interviews, talked freely with Hunt about how he almost didn't audition for "Idol." Following encouragement from his friends, he finally agreed to audition. When Hunt showed Archuleta a photo of himself during his stint on "Star Search," Archuleta laughed and said, "I was such a nerd back then. I still am." Archuleta also performed a single off his new album while on the show.
