Kris Alingod - AHN Contributor Washington, D.C. (AHN) - President-elect Barack Obama gave Vice President-elect Joe Biden cupcakes on Wednesday, a day ahead of the Delaware senator's 66th birthday. Obama "surprised" Biden with cupcakes after their weekly lunch, the Obama transition team said in a statement. "Then, the President-elect led the staff in singing him happy birthday and gave him a Chicago White Sox hat, a Chicago Bears hat and a bucket of Garrett's popcorn as gifts." Biden will spend his birthday at home in Delaware on Thursday. He has no public events scheduled.
