Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz Welcome First Son Together

Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz welcomed their first child together into the world Thursday evening.

The 24-year-old singer - who married Pete, 29, in May - gave birth to 7lb 11oz son Bronx Mowgli late Thursday night at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a representative for the couple has confirmed.

The spokesperson said: "Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes."

The baby was 20-and-a-half-inches long at birth.

Fall Out Boy rocker Pete recently revealed he had been getting parenting advice from Joel Madden, who has a nine-month-old daughter Harlow with his partner Nicole Richie.

He said: "Joel gives me advice. It has been really awesome for me to go to another person my age."

Earlier this week, Ashlee's older sister Jessica said the "Little Miss Obsessive" singer was trying everything to induce labor.

Jessica explained: "Ashlee has been trying different foot massages and stuff. I don't know. I think she's really just jumping around trying everything right now."
