Matthew Harvey - AHN Sports Reporter Arlington, TX (AHN) - The Philadelphia Phillies and Texas Rangers traded former number one draft picks with each other on Thursday. Texas received outfielder Greg Golson, and gave up outfielder John Mayberry in this exchange. Golson is known for being a speed demon, and was in Double-A when he batted .282, with 426 at-bats and a .333 on-base percentage. The problem Golson is most known for is chasing the wrong pitches, and giving up a lot of strikeouts. He has fanned 623 times in 511 contests. Mayberry was drafted in 2005, and is currently spending some time in the minor leagues, working on becoming a power hitter. While only hitting .264, he bashed 20 homers with 71 RBI in 135 games at Triple-A. Both teams are hoping a change of scenery will bring out the best in their new acquisitions.
