Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - The Hallmark Channel is ready to get everyone in the holiday spirit, offering Home for the Holiday movies. "An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving" will air this weekend, giving movie fans a heartwarming start to Thanksgiving.

Celebrity News Service always loves a good holiday movie and The Hallmark Channel always provides great holiday movies. "An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving" premieres Saturday, November 22 at 9/8c, starring Jaqueline Bisset.

The TV movie is based on a short story by the acclaimed author of "Little Women," and is a holiday story about family and forgiveness. The premise of the movie revolves around recently widow Mary Bassett, played by Helene Joy, and her three children who have hit difficult times on their farm. Things are so bad this year that they cannot even afford a turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner.

Suddenly, Mary's wealthy and estranged mother Isabella (Jacqueline Bisset) comes to visit. Although she finds a kindred spirit in Mary's eldest daughter and budding writer Tilly (Tatiana Maslany), Mary resents her mother's attempts to help them out of their financial difficulties. In the end, more than money will be needed to heal the emotional wounds that exist between mother and daughter in this moving Hallmark Channel original period drama.

"An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving" premieres Saturday, November 22 at 9/8c.
