Clippers Gain Randolph, Collins In Trade; But Lose To 76ers

Topics: NBAPhiladelphia, PA (AHN) - The Los Angeles Clippers would desperately love to change their losing culture in trading for Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins, while dealing Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas to the Knicks.

The Clips fell to the 76ers Friday though, 89-88.
Elton Brand provided the dagger to his previous team, drilling a 15-footer with just under a minute remaining to leave the Clippers in a 2-10 hole to start the season.
Philadelphia, which improved to 6-6, got a strong game from Andre Iguodala as he scored 14 points and dished out 12 assists.
Al Thornton scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds in the first half, helping the Clippers forge a 49-46 lead.
He finished with 22 points and nine boards in the losing effort.
Baron Davis netted 18 points, while Chris Kaman added 17 for the Clips.
Thaddeus Young enjoyed a strong opening half for the 76ers, scoring 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting, but only scored one more point after intermission.
The teams exchanged poor quarters, as the 76ers led 28-16 after the first.
The Clippers responded with a 33-18 advantage in the second to take the three point lead at the break.
