London, England (CNS) - Swedish fashion retailer Hennes and Mauritz (H&M) has hired British celebrity fashion designer Matthew Williamson to work on its summer male and female fashion ranges.

The new collection will debut on April 23rd with a follow-up line in mid-May.

Since 1997, Williamson's collection has been modelled by Kate Moss, Helena Christensen and Jade Jagger.

His clothes are regularly worn by celebrities such as Kate Hudson, Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Williamson, whose designs are very colourful, has been showcased twice a year during New York Fashion Week. His designs often have an Indian influence, perhaps related to the time Williamson spent working in India for the clothing store Monsoon.

In the past, H&M has hired all top designers including Roberto Cavalli and Stella McCartney and its collections have been huge success.
