MU Gets Its Man With Winger Tosic

Manchester, England (AHN) - Manchester United has nearly finished negotiations with Serbian whiz-kid winger Zoran Tosic.

On Friday, Sir Alex Ferguson was happy to report that the 21-year-old Tosic had verbal confirmation that he would sign with Manchester in early 2009.

The discussion is expected to be concluded on December 12, when Tosic will discuss personal terms and options with Ferguson, but talks are positive, and the financial terms are set.

Tosic will receive a deal worth approximately ?8 million, as his performance last year and in the Olympics was impressive.

The final transfer was the product of two months of hard work from both Manchester United and Zoran Pavlovic, Tosic's representative, but it is finally nearing the end of the discussion.

As a winger for the Partizan club of the Superliga, he has made 71 appearances and 16 career goals. Last year, he only appeared in 14 games, but scored 6 times.
