Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer Mumbai, India (CNS) - The Live Earth India concert has been canceled amid terror attacks in the country last week. The show was supposed to take place on December 7 in Mumbai. The concert, founded by Al Gore and Kevin Wall, was to have followed the past Live Earth shows in New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg and Hamburg last year. The organizers said in a statement, "We always felt very welcomed and safe as we spent more time on the ground in Mumbai to finalize plans for Live Earth India, scheduled for December 7." "We will continue to work for solutions to the climate crisis for the good of the people of India. But for now, our thoughts are with the victims of this terrible attack, with the bereaved, with the people of Mumbai and with everyone in India" Terrorists opened fire at hotels and other sites across the Indian capital, killing more than 170 people, including locals and visitors last week. Although the situation had been brought under control by the officials, it was decided that the concert would be called off after the acts canceled their travel plans to the country. Will.i.am, Bon Jovi and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd were scheduled to appear at the monumental event along with Bollywood stars such as Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan at the Andheri sports complex.
