The lone fatality, a member of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), died at the hospital from shrapnel wounds in his stomach.
The grenade shattered the Don Mueang airport's terminal window on impact and sprayed protesters inside with broken glasses, emergency officials said.
The grenade attack was the third against the PAD activists, who just left the Government House and transferred to the airport and the Suvarnabhumi international airport on Tuesday in their bid to paralyze the government and force Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat to resign.
A grenade attack on them at the Government House on Sunday injured nearly 50 protesters.
The PAD protesters vowed to stay at the two airports until Wongsawat quit his post.
