Former UCLA Employee Pleads Guilty To Selling Britney Spears And Farrah Fawcett's Medical Records

Topics: EntertainmentLos Angeles, CA (CNS) - A former employee at the UCLA Medical Center has pleaded guilty to peddling Britney Spears and Farrah Fawcett's medical records to the National Enquirer.

49-year-old Lawanda Jackson admits to using her boss' password to access confidential records of their high-profile patients. She faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine for violating medical privacy law for commercial purposes.
The National Enquirer deposited at least $4,600 in checks into her husband's checking account beginning in 2006.
She is expecting her sentence in May.
Jackson worked as an administrator for 32 years at the hospital's various Southland locations before she resigned in July last year. She was indicted in April.
