Manchester, EN (AHN) - Robinho, who recently signed for more than $30 million with Manchester City, sounds as if he wanted to sign with another franchise instead of Man City.

The player was critical of teammates after the team lost Sunday's Manchester derby at Eastlands. He said the team would never amount to anything if they didn't change their small-time mentality.

Robinho told Setanta Sports' Football Matters programme that City has good players but the mentality of a small side, being content with just finishing fifth or sixth.

"They lack is the mentality of champions. I have learnt that being second is worthless so I want to inspire a winning mentality," he told the programme.

It seems as though the American mentality of tearing down teammates has crossed the ocean over to Europe.

Robinho also talked about the disappointment that he did not get to link up with former Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea

Even though he did not hide that he wanted to play for Chelsea, Robinho vowed to play out the remainder of his four-year contract and expects new arrivals at Eastlands. He named his own shopping list, which contains a long list of Brazilians.

Some of the names in his list included Brazil's Ronaldo and Thiago Silva.

In his professional career, Robinho had 44 goals with Santos from 2002 to 2005 and 25 goals with Real Madrid from 2005 to 2008.

On September 1, 2008, the final day of the Premier League summer transfer window, Robinho completed a €42.5m move to Manchester City, making him the current highest paid footballer in the world, earning around ?160,000 per week.
