Chicago State Guard Holston: Small Stature, Big Scoring Presence

Averaging 27.7 points per game, and shooting 44 percent of his three point attempts.
If the splash he makes in the NBA would be equal to about half the splash he's making in the NCAA, he would be a triumphant first-round pick.
When a rival school plays Chicago State, the question they really need to ask is how to shut down Holston.
Holston puts on a show even when his team loses as it did recently to Mercer, 88-77. Holston pumped in 31 points to go with his eight rebounds, five steals and five assists.
The way Mercer handled it was pressuring Holston, and forcing him to give up the ball six times.
If any weakness can be pinned on the powerhouse senior, it's in the turnover category. Against Beth-Cook the previous game, he lost the ball seven times.
Much of this has to do with his height. Being only 5'8, he is something of a liability in that respect, though he offsets his size with the ability to speed past his opponents and draw the occasional foul.
With the numbers he puts up for the Cougars, it's a weakness that can be worked around, especially when he often equalizes his turnovers with steals.
Even more often with points, as it turns out.
