Matt Aug - AHN Sports Editor Indianapolis, IN (AHN) - Troy Murphy's tip-in of a wild Marquis Daniels shot just before the buzzer lifted the Indianapolis Pacers to a 118-117 win over the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday. Danny Granger led Indy with 32 points, while Murphy finished with 16 points and a game-high 17 rebounds. The outcome was an early-season upset, as the Pacers improved to just 6-11 in handing the 15-win Lakers just their second setback of the season. Los Angeles held a nine-point lead going into the final quarter, but faded in getting outscored 32-16. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with a 28 points, but was 0-for-5 from three-point range. Pau Gasol chipped in with 20 points, nine rebounds though he missed 4-of-10 free-throws. All five Pacers scored in double-figures, with T.J. Ford pumping in 21 points and dishing eight assists. Daniels and Rasho Nesterovic each chipped in 16 points for the Pacers. Indiana outrebounded L.A. 50-41, including 19-8 on the offensive glass and won despite the Lakers getting 24 more attempts at the free-throw stripe.
