Tomlinson is having a bit off an off season, much like the rest of his teammates in what was predicted to be a Super Bowl run.
He proved he still has plenty left in the tank in piling up 91 yards on 25 carries, although the Chargers are a playoff longshot at 5-8.
Tomlinson's three-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter gave the Chargers a 10-0 lead.
Rivers then tacked on a pair of touchdown passes to Darren Sproles, covering 8 and 18 yards, and a 59-yard scoring connection with Vincent Jackson as the Chargers rolled.
The Raiders, the league's doormat, managed just seven points as Justin Miller roared 92 yards on a kickoff return.
San Diego dominated every facet of play, gaining 372 overall yards to just 163 for Oakland.
The Chargers also collected 18 first downs to just nine for the Raiders.
Most importantly, the Chargers did not turn the ball over, while the Raiders committed three miscues.
Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell was the chief culprit, tossing a pair of interceptions before leaving the game with a right ankle injury late in the opening half.
