Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Tom Cruise's controversial film "Valkyrie" has at last settled on an opening day. The United Artists/MGM Nazi thriller will now hit theaters on Christmas Day.
The film had often changed its release dates from June 27, 2008 to February 14, 2009. However, after a positive test screening, its opening date has been ultimately set to December 25, which would mean the film can benefit from the Holiday moviegoers rush.
Along with "Valkyrie," four more films are set to open on Christmas Day. Adam Sandler's Disney flick "Bedtime Stories," Brad Pitt's Paramount film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," Jennifer Aniston's 20th Century Fox comedy "Marley and Me," and Lionsgate's "The Spirit" are all set to open on the festive day.
