New York, NY (CNS) - Barbara Walters always seems to get the big interviews, and the famed news lady has done it again. In his first television interview since being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Patrick Swayze invites Walters to his California ranch for an interview.
Swayze and his wife Lisa Niemi will both spend time with Walters in her special entitled "Barbara Walters Special-Patrick Swayze: The Truth." The special will air Wednesday, January 7 at 10/9 on ABC.
Celebrity News Service is looking forward to hearing Swayze's take on his illness, especially since the media blew it out of proportion when his pancreatic cancer was first announced, some saying he only had five weeks to live.
Swayze came to fame in the movie "Dirty Dancing" when he starred as dance instructor Johnny Castle. He also appeared in the 1990 movie "Ghost" with Demi Moore and Whoppi Goldberg.
Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2008 and underwent chemotherapy treatments at Stanford University Medical Center.
"Barbara Walters Special-Patrick Swayze: The Truth" will air Wednesday, January 7 at 10/9 on ABC.
