Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service Reporter New York, NY (CNS) - Whoopi Goldberg is returning to her sci-fi roots. Goldberg, who is currently a co-host on ABC's "The View," co-starred in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" in the late 1980s. Goldberg will not only star - she will executive produce also -- a new sci-fi miniseries called "Stream" for Fearnet.com. The show will debut online and on video-on-demand beginning January 15. Goldberg will play the lead character Jodi on "Stream," a character who is trying to come to terms with her lifelong fears. This will be the sixth original series for Fearnet.com. "I loved Whoopi in 'Star Trek,'" a fan told Celebrity News Service. "I'm a huge Sci-Fi fan so I am glad to see she is taking another stab at it. I will definitely check out her new show online." "Stream" will premiere January 15 on Fearnet.com.
