British Indie Rock Band Bloc Party Announce Date For New York Gig

New York, NY (CNS) - British indie rock band Bloc Party has announced a new show In New York for next year. Band members Kele Okereke, Russell Lissack, Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong will play at Terminal 5 in New York City scheduled to take place on March 24.

Prior to the NY show, the band are scheduled to perform in Toronto, London and Ottawa in Ontario, and Montreal in Quebec. After their NY gig, the four-piece will head towards Miami, FL for a set at the Ultra Music Festival alongside Santogold, The Ting Tings, and more.

In August 2008, the band released their third album, Intimacy. Following the digital release of Intimacy, Bloc Party announced that they would embark on another UK tour, starting on January 25, 2009 in Glasgow.

They will then go onto play in Manchester and Wolverhampton in the same month, with another gig in Wolverhampton on February 1, 2009.

Tickets for the Terminal 5 show are currently on sale and can be purchased online.
