London, England (CNS) - British Grammy Award nominated singer M.I.A. has launched her own fashion range - inspired by the artwork on her past album covers. Called the "Extended Merch," the range includes T-shirts, bodysuits and leggings which the singer designed with model Okley Leslie.

The hip-hop artist, whose real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam, has been in touch with fashion world due to her former roommate and popular designer Luella Bartley. She also had her stint with modeling while working with Marc Jacobs last spring.

"Extended Merch" expands upon the limited "Okley Run" line that landed in Opening Ceremony's two stateside stores this past September.

In July 2008, M.I.A showcased some designs in a short video she made called "Real Pirates of the Caribbean" starring Okley Leslie, which she posted on her official website.

Clothes from her limited edition "Okley Run" line - Mexican and Afrika jackets and leggings, Islamic hoodies as well as tour-inspired designs including "People Vs. Money Tour Tees" and "KALA Tour Tees" (T-shirts) - were sold in September 2008 at fashion week Opening Ceremony shops in L.A. and New York in the U.S. and through her website store.
