Solana Beach, CA (AHN) - California State Highway Patrol is searching for a man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash on Interstate-5 that killed a woman and her unborn child, and left the woman's husband and daughter injured.

Police say they are seeking the man who caused the crash. They believe he is John F. Sudac Jr. of Carlsbad, 27 because that is the name of the person the car is registered to. The man stopped briefly, then fled the scene.

Yine Gonzalez, 24, who was six-months pregnant, was partially ejected from the vehicle when it rolled. She airlifted to a hospital for treatment, but she and her unborn child both died. Gonzalez's husband, 5-year-old daughter and two relatives all survived the accident with minor injuries. They were transported to a hospital for treatment on Saturday, but died.

Authorities are also seeking the driver of a third car that stopped at the crash scene briefly, but instead of rendering aid, that driver stole Gonzalez's purse.
