Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Tom Cruise is facing a possible lawsuit for replicating the infamous Fuehrer's globe without permission for his film "Valkyrie."

According to NY Post, art collector Robert Pritikin, who owns several Adolf Hitler artifacts, had paid $100,000 for the said globe and had its image copyrighted in 2007. But Cruise violated the copyright by featuring the globe's likeness in the historical thriller film.

Pritikin, who "believes the globe should be used as a teaching tool so the lessons of Hilter's nightmare can keep history from repeating itself," is now considering legal action, but is still open to out of court resolution.

Investigator Dan Hanks told Page Six, "Tom Cruise's use of the globe's likeness without our client's permission was likely just an oversight. We're confident this will all be quickly resolved out of court."

Pritikin has recently put the Hitler items up for sale. He is hoping Cruise would buy all of them.

Another investigator Paul Barresi said, "I think it would be a wonderful gesture of good will on Tom Cruise's part to purchase the globe along with all of the other Hitler artifacts owned by Mr. Pritikin and donate them to the Wiesenthal Center."

"Valkyrie" was released on Christmas day.
