Topics: Lifestyle and ArtsWashington, DC (CNS) - Laura Bush, the wife of the outgoing U.S. president George W. Bush, will be telling the nation of her story in the White House. The first lady has inked a deal with publisher Scribner to release her memoir.

The yet untitled book is expected to hit bookshelves in 2010.
The publishing house said in a statement, "As a rare witness to the private moments of one of our country's most consequential presidencies, and as a first lady who has maintained a notable level of discretion, her memoir will provide a candid and personal perspective, and an enduring record, of the years that have already determined the course of the 21st century."
Laura's press secretary declined to disclose the amount of her book advance, as per Associated Press.
She is not the first First Lady who decided to publish their experiences in a book. Nancy Reagan published her autobiography My Turn in 1989, while Hillary Clinton's 2003 memoir Living History has been reported to have generated an $8 million advance.
